National Testing Services NTS failure in Commonwealth Scholarship 2014

Islamabad- Sana Mirza, National Testing Services NTS corruption has been reported in recently conducted test for Commonwealth Scholarship program here in Pakistan for the year 2014.NTS arranged test in all major centers of the Country by sending Admit cards to candidates at their home.
NTS charges normally Rs.800 from the candidates as test fees. Most of the graduate & Master students always claimed NTS to be as dough Fish. This time mostly students are claiming that they have marked right choices which they are confident enough as NTS this year updated its policy & issued a carbon copy of marked answer sheet right after the test. However candidates can check & compare answers with the answer key on nts website, next day of the TEST.

NTS is totally winding up people through showing fairness via cutting seal of Exam books through any candidates, issuing multiple color books and shuffle it in the testing room and through carbon copy of answer sheets.Candidates are slagging off NTS this time by saying that they have remembered some answers which they marked 100% correct are showing wrong on Answer key at website. The carbon copy or Answer sheet has only marked options like A.B.C.D.E nothing else. You can't say anything about Question no 36 as its right option might be A or might be E.So in the same manner one of the candidate among who appeared in Commonwealth Scholarship 2014 is whining that he has remembered that he has marked Q.2 as D but he got shocked when he saw right answer was A on NTS website's answer key.

Credibility of NTS has always seemed to be as issue.News groups and peoples are always nagging NTS performance on the basis of merit.Recent teachers selection for Public colleges and universities is example of what NTS is doing under Public sector umbrella.

Now everyone is demanding NTS should be privatize or test like common wealth & recruitment test for Public sector should be conducted via any private testing services (3rd Umpire). So no one will bicker on its failure.

TTP threats to Pervez Musharaf - VIDEO

Zila Ghaziabad- (TTP Commando) Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan in their recent Video warned Ex- President of United States of Pakistan that you 've did huge mistake by coming back home.As a famous proverb " When death of cat is near she goes City" Pervez Musharaf has done big blunder after coming back Pakistan.

Ali Gul Pir - Wadera ka beta song misled Saeens

Recently social web blockbuster song "Wadere ka beta" by Ali Gul Pir was on every lips across Pakistan. Everyone were considering it as a revolutionary song against feudalism in Pakistan. But it was noticed that young feudalist picked this song as honor for them.Son of Wadera listens song proudly in his hammer.Example of Shahzeb murder case by Wadera Shahrukh Jatoi can viewed as reflection of this song where Shahrukh believing himself as "Shahrukh Khan" killed Shahzeb to show world that he is the Boss & he can do anything in Pakistan, no one can even mess with him.Interestingly the name of song's character is "AKBAR JATOI" and before killing Shazeb in mouth firing between Shahrukh & Shahzeb, Shahrukh was found proclaiming that he is "Shahrukh Jatoi" (so called AKBAR JATOI of song) and proudly declaring himself Wadera of the region and threatening Shahrukh of bad results clashing with feudals.Actually Shahrukh (Wadera) servant misbehaved Shahzeb's sister before all these back-clash.When Shahzeb went for complaining servants act to Shahrukh, he refused Shahzeb considering himself a President of white house and his servant as a Raymond Davis..like songs words "SAEEN TO SAEEN- SAEEN KA KUTTA BHI SAEEN".But he 've totally forgot that he is living in 21st century, especially in Metropolitan city like KARACHI where he can do everything which a wadera can do in his interior Sindh self control State. He can treat his inhabitants like animals but in cities like Karachi where people consider these waderas like Donkey not else, he can not do anything.

Shahrukh who escaped Dubai earlier after the murder is now in Jail. He came back due to PPP influence on his father coz his father has remained MPA in Sindh assembly as PPP candidate. So PPP was in criticism after this case & they convinced Shahrukh's father to bring back him Pakistan in  promise to release him safely when people 'll forgot the case. But he should remember that there is no Guarantee of 2 things: 1. Chinese product & 2. PPP government's promise.

I think Shahrukh Jatoi has made biggest blunder after coming back Pakistan & giving himself in custody.Although he has seen as living in a wonder world in jail, he is giving all luxuries of life in Jail but election is near & if PPP loses election Shahrukh could has to lose his life as Halter order by court.

World's longest married couple is from Pakistan

  • Karam, 107, and Katari, 100, have been married for 87 years
  • They have 8 children and 28 grandchildren together
  • The marriage is almost 5 years longer than current Guinness record holders
  • Couple say that laughter and looking after each other is key to marriage
In an age where few marriages endure the test of time, 107-year-old Karam and his wife Katari Chand, 100, are proof that happy ever after does exist.
The couple, who have eight children and twenty eight grandchildren together, have lived in wedded bliss for 87 years making them the world's longest married couple.
The pair say that the key to success is looking after each other in every way possible: ‘My trick is to make Katari laugh. I like to tell jokes and make her smile. Being funny is my way of being romantic.' says Karam.
Karam and Katari Chand have been married for 87 years and are in the process of being confirmed as Guinness World Record holders for the world's longest marriage

‘I have been told laughing makes you live longer... my wife is still alive so it must have worked! I love her so much and I want to spend another 80 years by her side,’ said Karam.
From romantic meals to sharing jokes, the couple, who hail from Punjab, India and now live in Bradford ensure that they do little things for each other to keep the romance alive.

Katari told romantic networking site Zoosk.co.uk: ‘When I was young I used to make him a nice fresh meal every night. We are vegetarian so I brought lots of fresh vegetables and made sure he was eating healthy food.
‘Health is very important and I wanted to look after him so we could grow old together. Some would say it has worked!

‘Oh and how can I forget, I always save a bit of my chapatti for him. Just a little gesture that he appreciated a lot and it kept me a bit slimmer.’
Karam, who likes to do a word search every day to keep his mind alive, believes that spending plenty of time together has helped their marriage last.
‘We have not spent any long span apart in over 50 years. We go everywhere together – up until a few years ago we went to India every year with the family and for all family weddings we make sure we get to stay together,’ he said.

Their marriage has lasted nearly five years longer than that of the current Guinness World Record holders and the couple are in the process of getting confirmation from the company that they will be named as the new record holders.
Many modern day romances fail to stand the test of time but longevity and experience makes Karam the best man to go to for relationship advice.
‘In the past people used to listen. Now I don’t think people take the time to listen to each other properly. People seem too busy today with work, TV and other stuff going on around them.
‘Relationships are about understanding one another and listening to concerns and problems, so my advice to men and women is to listen to their partners, show interest in what they are saying and help them overcome any worries or problems they are going through,’ he said.
Karam and Katari Chand received a certificate of achievement from dating site Zoosk
The couple love to make each other laugh and will have a joint birthday celebration in November

And their son Satpaul, who is extremely proud of his parent’s relationship, added his own words of wisdom.
He said: ‘One piece of advice that I can’t stress enough is to keep your parents very close. We live with them in Bradford and look after them because we want to help them live as long as they can together.
‘I don’t want to see their love story end. I truly believe that by helping them over the last few years we have enabled them to enjoy their time together with no stress and being looked after.
'Also, you have to value them while they are here because you never know how long they are going to be around for.’
The still loved-up couple, who met through an arranged marriage, are having a big party in November to celebrate Karam’s 107th and Katari’s 100th birthday. The Mayor of Bradford as well as lots of community members will be joining in the festivities.

Girl throws acid on boyfriend's face in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Setting a new trend contrary to what have been the conventional stories of acid attacks in country, a girl threw acid on her boyfriend in Faisalabad, leaving the boy critically injured who was shifted to hospital shortly after the incident, reports SAMAA Sunday.

On one hand, the incidents of acid throwing have been on rise in Pakistan for some decades while the orthodox attacks, on the other hand, seem to have put on an alarming guise wherein only the girls/women being victimized in such cases has not been traditional anymore – as Nabila of Faisalabad, having flown into rages over some personal disputes, splashed acid on the face of her 21-year boyfriend Mohsin in Marzipura area of Faisalabad.

The ill-fated Mohsin, who was accused of harassing his girlfriend Nabila, was rushed to hospital in critical state, police said.

According to police, Nabila said her boyfriend raped her several times and was also boasting of in front of his friends all what he did with her.

Later on, to a question regarding the recently legislated sentence of acid throwing that is ‘life imprisonment’, Nabila told journalists she was prepared to embrace any kind of punishment for what she did.

Moshin is under treatment at a local hospital and is in state of unconsciousness at this time, hospital sources said.

Area DSP Ashiq Jutt told journalists that accused Nabila in her statement had told police that not only did Mohsin keep raping her but also demanding money and gifts from her.

Telenor Gets Majority Stakes in VimpelCom, Drops Arbitration Claims

1279881824Telenor Logo Telenor Gets Majority Stakes in VimpelCom, Drops Arbitration ClaimsTelenor Group, in a latest development, has bought 234,000,000 VimpelCom preferred shares from Weather Investments for US$374,400,000, to increase its voting rights at VimpelCom from 25.01 percent to 36.36 percent and to become majority stake holder in VimpelCom, said a statement issued by the Telenor Group.
Just to recall, Mr. Naguib Sawiris and his family last year bought 29.63 percent stakes in VimpelCom through Weather Investments in exchange of Orascom Telecom.
Weather’s shares in VimpelCom, after this transaction, will come down to 18.28 percent.
In connection with this new buyout of shares, Telenor has withdrawn all its claims against Altimo Holdings & Investments Ltd., Altimo Cooperatief U.A. and VimpelCom in the pending arbitration proceeding, and will work to expand the VimpelCom Board to eleven members.
Check below the previous and present voting rights of various groups in VimpelCom:
VC thumb Telenor Gets Majority Stakes in VimpelCom, Drops Arbitration Claims
It merits mentioning here that Mobilink is currently fully managed by VimpelCom, which is now majorly owned by Telenor Group, also the parent group of Telenor Pakistan, creating a potential situation for conflict of interest in Pakistan and Bangladeshi markets.
To put in simpler words, 5 out of 11 directors at VimpelCom board (who directly manages Mobilink) come from Telenor International, a group that also controls Telenor Pakistan.
This translates into a proposition according to which Mobilink and Telenor Pakistan will be owned by same group (Telenor International) at a parent group level.
The outcome can potentially form a cartel in Pakistan which may not be favorable for competitors such as Ufone, Warid Telecom and CMPak.
Though Competition commission of Pakistan had approved the deal, but this new transaction may arise new situation for the industry, especially when 3G auction is round the corner.
In a related news, Telenor wants to drop its Indian joint-venture partner Unitech after the Supreme Court revoked their mobile licences in the country and is seeking a new local partner. Telenor said it would seek indemnity and compensation from Unitech.
And Unitech has replied by threatening counter legal action.

“Pakistan and Iran have agreed to complete at fast pace projects for importing electricity to enhance bilateral relations in the field of trade, energy and economy,” Iranian Ambassador Alireza Highighlian told Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar here on Tuesday.
At present three electricity import projects are under way, the first of them is of 35MW which will be enhanced later to 70MW.
While matters relating to importing 100MW have been finalised and the project is ready for groundbreaking, the two countries have moved forward on another 1,000MW project.
The issue of tariff for the projects is in negotiations stage.
The ambassador said he was satisfied with the pace of progress, adding that Iran was keen to invest in various other projects.

Ambassador of Tajikistan Zubaidullu Zabaidov also called on the Minister for Water and Power and discussed Casa-1000 project about import of 1,000MW electricity from that country through Afghanistan.

Ahmadinejad leaves Tehran for Islamabad’s trilateral meeting

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has departed for Pakistan to take part in a tripartite summit on regional cooperation and developments.

The two-day Islamabad summit will open on Friday with the participation of the Iranian president and his Afghan and Pakistani counterparts Hamid Karzai and Asif Ali Zardari.

We hope that the Islamabad meeting would take bigger steps toward the promotion of regional cooperation and the restoration of peace and stability in the region, President Ahmadinejad told reporters before departure on Thursday.

He said that all solutions put forward by extra-regional countries failed to contribute to the restoration of stability in the region.

Iran’s chief executive said that foreign interference and military presence have aggravated the situation and called for a regional solution to re-establish security in the region.

Ahmadinejad said that the people of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan need to join hands to confront insecurity, terrorism as well as plots hatched by enemies to sow division among regional countries and dominate the region.

The two previous trilateral meetings were held in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

7,000 kg whale shark docks in Karachi Fish Harbour

In what is believed to be one of the biggest catch in the high seas, Pakistani fishermen have caught a giant whale shark - about 36 foot long and weighing over 7,000 kg.
The fishermen bought the giant fish to the Karachi Fish Harbour and claimed to have found it dead in the open sea. Though some experts believed that the shark might have been killed after it got entangled in a net, The Dawn daily reported.

Pic/AFP
The whale shark was taken out of the channel with the help of two cranes amid rapturous applause by hundreds of onlookers.
"I have bought the fish, which usually has no significant commercial value, with the help of my friends just to appreciate the efforts of the fishermen who deserve some reward after spending an entire day in the open sea," Haji Qasim, who said he bought the fish for Rs 2 lakh, was quoted as saying by the daily.
The authorities, he said, had allowed him to keep the fish at the harbour for at least three days for public viewing. "Then I will sell the meat to the people running poultry meal business," he said.
The shark was spotted floating unconscious in the sea ten days ago, around 90 miles away from shore, another daily reported.
The Daily Mail of London reported that the largest confirmed whale shark was 41ft long but it is thought they can grow to considerably greater lengths. The shark is found in tropical waters and lives for around 70 years. They feed mainly on plankton, microscopic plants and sometimes small fish.
The whale shark, a gentle giant of the seas, does not pose a significant danger to humans - and in the past some have even allowed swimmers to hitch a ride on their fins, it reported.
